Michele Terranova has held previous positions as the Director of Human Factors Research at Concord Associates, Inc. and Senior Research Scientist at The Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She has over 16 years experience in Human Factors, User Interface Design, and Market Research.  Michele has been involved in analysis, design, and evaluation of web sites and interactive systems in transportation (public and commercial), finance, communications, retail, medical, entertainment, nuclear, military, and government. She is an experienced manager and a practitioner, with skills in the scientific study of users and their environments.

 

Michele has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a major in Human Factors from Old Dominion University and a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook.

 

 

Inga Treitler is a researcher and writer with current research in the area of ethics and design, and women in the "new economy." For ten years she was a member of the research staff at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where she conducted anthropological research and facilitated negotiations among diverse cultural groups concerned about scarce resources. Projects spanned the US and the Caribbean and involved resources like water, land, and access to technology. Subsequently she worked for a Chicago based design firm developing product and service strategies sensitive to end-users.

 

Inga holds academic degrees in linguistics and anthropology, including a BA from Wellesley College, an MA from SUNY Stony Brook, and a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

   

Christine Mattila has worked for ten years on a variety of projects that benefited from an interdisciplinary approach. This included Technical and Instructional Writing for hard-copy and on-line material, and CBT design and development including instructional design analysis. Christine was a programmer for the U.S. Navy for 5 years. She has also created and managed Web site content and databases.

Christine has a Masters in Information Science from the University of South Carolina. She has B.A. in Psychology from USC and an A.S. in Computer Programming.
